After a year of working together, Black Avenue Muzik and rapper Freda Rhymz ended their relationship after both parties agreed not to continue their production and business management agreement which was supposed to last for 5 years.

Born Freda Baffour Awua, Freda Rhymz made history by emerging the winner of the sixth season of the MTN Hitmaker music reality show. She is the first female to win that reality show.

After winning the reality show, Black Avenue Muzik, Charterhouse Ghana and MTN Ghana came into an agreement for the former to assume production and managerial role of the artiste.

Through intense effort, Freda Rhymz released three official singles and music videos between March 2018 and May 2019 under Black Avenue Muzik.

She released ‘Jammin’ (a Hip-hop/Rap song), ‘I Dey Go’ featuring Kelvyn Boy (an Afrobeats song), and ‘Pay’ featuring D-Black (an Afrobeats/Hip-hop song)’.

After leaving Black Avenue Music, Young Mission Entertainment, a Paris-based Ghanaian booking and entertainment company, which has over the years made very major impacts in the lives of most artists in the country officially signed its ever first unique female rapper Freda Rhymz on a 5-year contract with good working conditions.

Speaking to Arnold in an interview, she revealed she left BAM due to the number of artists who were on the label and personal reasons.

When asked whether she will change her mind to join BAM if they come back to her with a juicy deal than the one she’s enjoying now, she was quick to reply that no amount of money will make her change her mind to join Black Avenue Music again.

Popular Ghanaian Musician Gifty Hopson Adorye popularly known as Empress Gifty has vouched never to sign up an upcoming artist on her record label to train.

According to Empress Gifty in a recent interview, she will only train upcoming artists when she decides to retire from the music industry. She added that she needed ample time to be able to promote her artiste to the top to avoid any unnecessary competition.

“Oh of course, yes! But now I’m still doing music so when I retire from my music I will sign an artiste. Because two captains can never be on a ship. It is wrong and unadvisable for an artiste to sign his fellow artiste under his record label, it doesn’t help. So I like the way Lynx Entertainment is doing it, he put his career aside and building an image because it’s not right to compete with the young ones. He’ll compete with Kuami Eugene and the likes – his own artistes”. Gifty disclosed.Gifty Adorye further explained that, if she signs up a new artist, he/she will grab all the shows for him/herself. Do you think when I have an artist under me and there is a show worth GH30,000, what will I do? So I case you hear I’m signing an artistic that means Empress has retired from music. So that I focus on the person and push him to where I want him to be she add.
Meanwhile Gifty Adorye is currently promoting her new single titled ‘Jesus Over Do’.
