Someone gave me a ‘broken heart’ – Efya reveals why she took a break from music
Songstress Efya revealed that she actually took a break from music to heal her emotional wounds, possibly after her boyfriend broke her heart.
The Ghanaian singer spoke about her long absence from the entertainment world on 3FM’s Urban Blend with AJ Sarpong
He said it was because “breakfast has been served” which he clearly didn’t expect. The singer said in an interview session that at that time he had stopped singing due to heartbreak. “It broke my heart,” she said to host AJ’s surprise.
She revealed: “I was heartbroken that I didn’t want to sing. You know, I’m a little girl, so my feelings were very important to me and it wasn’t something I wanted to deal with at the time.” .
Effia also revealed that she has been working in the music industry for 15 years without a break. During this long period, he actively appeared in numerous programs and constantly promoted his work.
“Also, I’ve been working non-stop for 15 years, and I’ve been on all the shows in that time, and I’m still an agent, and I think I’ve given everyone my own personality,” she concluded.
Efya is a Ghanaian singer, songwriter and actress from Kumasi. She is the daughter of Nana Adwoa Awindor, a filmmaker and celebrity host of the late-night TV show Greetings From Abroad.
Efya got her first taste of stardom when she took part in the inaugural Stars of the Future talent show. Since 2011, she has won four consecutive Ghana Music Awards for Best Female Vocal Performance. Additionally, her performance at the 2013 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards won praise
Cardi B says she’s Mexican now as she celebrates Cinco De Mayo
Cardi B came up with a funny way to commemorate Cinco de Mayo by showing off her impressive dance talent. She also made fun of her supposed Mexican heritage.Mexican
Every year on May 5, s celebrate Cinco de Mayo to commemorate their victory at the Battle of Pueblo in 1862 over the Second French Empire.
The Bronx rapper shared a video on Twitter to celebrate the festival, in which she performs a remix of the famous Mexican song “La Chona.”
“HAPPY CINCO DE MAYO you dirty Americans!!!!!,” she captioned the post.
After her post, a fan commented that she “never beat the Mexican accusations”, to which she responded by pointing out that since she was already accused of being Mexican, she should “embrace” her roots.
“I mean they claim I’m Mexican… I might as well embrace my new nationality lol,” she wrote in a since-deleted tweet. However, in reality, the rapper has Dominican and Trinidadian roots.
Cinco de Mayo is an annual celebration held on May 5 to celebrate Mexico’s victory over the Second French Empire at the Battle of Pueblo in 1862 led by General Ignacio Zaragoza.
A stronger French force eventually destroyed the Mexican army in the Second Puebla War and captured Mexico City. Zaragoza died of illness a few months after the war.
However, after the American Civil War ended in 1865, the United States began providing money and arms to the liberals in Mexico, bringing France and the conservatives in Mexico to the brink of defeat.
French forces will be withdrawn from Mexico, Napoleon III declared. at the opening of the French Parliament in January 1866.
US Secretary of State William H. Seward responded to the French call for American neutrality by declaring that French withdrawal from Mexico should be complete.
